About Bible on the Net

The Bible is the Word of God. What better source is there to find out the truth about life than from God directly in his Word? This website is dedicated to helping visitors find out what God has to say in the Bible about how to live, what's right and wrong, how to become his child and how to be saved from the coming judgement.

The objective of this website is to let the Bible speak for itself and to avoid taking any denominational positions on doctrine. However, the following core set of doctrines are established as the foundation of this website:

1. The Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are One.

2. The Bible is the clear, true Word of God. The Bible is to be interpreted literally, unless the Bible itself indicates that a passage is to be interpreted figuratively.

3. Salvation is a gift from God that comes through an irreversible belief and faith in the God whose son is Jesus Christ.

4. The Holy Spirit lives in a believer from the moment of salvation.

5. Jesus Christ voluntarily died as a substitute for the penalty for the sins of those who will accept his payment. Jesus was resurrected from the dead to demonstrate his power over sin and death, and as the firstfruit of the believers' resurrection to come.

6. Jesus Christ will return at the end of the Great Tribulation to rule the earth for 1000 years (the Millennium).

7. All men and women that have ever existed will be resurrected from the dead to go to their final destination. The final home of believers as children of God is the New Earth and the New Jerusalem. The final destination of non-believers is eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.
